Legal Constraints on International Journalists

Brazil has been navigating a complex landscape regarding the privileges and restrictions faced by journalists. On the one hand, the country has a robust tradition of press freedom, enshrined in its constitution. Journalists in Brazil enjoy privileges such as legal protection for their work, the right to investigate and report on issues of public interest, and the freedom to express their opinions. The country has seen a rise in attacks, threats, and even killings of journalists, particularly those covering sensitive topics such as corruption, crime, and environmental issues. These incidents create a chilling effect on the media, leading to self-censorship and a reluctance to investigate certain stories. The governm...

movie review

This week while on fall break Kinley Shankles and I went to see the new Taylor Swift movie in Texarkana. Since we had to be back on Friday for the football game on Saturday, we decided to make a day out of it and do a little shopping while we were there. The movie itself was a lot more enjoyable than I anticipated it to be, I have said many times that I am not a Swifty, but after watching this movie I might change my mind. I knew almost every song that she played and was shocked about how long the movie and concert was, the movie was 2 hours and 48 minutes long, but it didn't feel like that while watching it. I thought the way the movie was put together and the way the producers showed how much the fans loved Taylor was really sweet to watch.      However, I didn't agree with how the...
